Home of the Wildlings and a Sanctuary for deepening our relational roots to the temple we call Earth and all of her Kin

It’s a sacred thing to be a human.

For thousands of years we have walked this planet in the complexity of being simultaneously made of clay and stardust.

For thousands of years we have lived in the paradox of what it means to be fully human ( “of the earth, an earthling“, Latin) and fully divine ( “belonging to a god“, Latin).

Indigenous cultures and traditions all over the world have explored this unbreakable bond through art, song, prayer, craft, and dance and have created their ways of living in harmony and beauty with it.

But we, the people of this modern day and age, have lost our ways. We have forgotten our wild, indigenous roots as people and thus we no longer remember how to meaningfully connect and relate to each other and this planet.

The Wild Kin Sanctuary is a humble project aiming to support the remediation of that connection.

When we live with purpose, in Joy, Beauty, Peace and Truth within ourselves, our presence offers the same to all the beings we are connected to.

the lens of this work is animistic

In Animism, all of Creation is viewed as animated, aka having a soul. The word comes from the Latin anima, meaning “breath,” “spirit,” or “life”.

This Universe is a vivid, diverse community of beings, both human and non-human, living in interconnected and reciprocal relationships. And humans do not have a central space in this worldview, but instead we as species hold our own place in the vast ecology of beings, in the Web of Life.

By repairing, healing and caring for the broken threads within ourselves and our communities, we repair the fabric of the Web of Life itself.
